Bully prison warden Bill Boss (Dieter Laser) leading a big state prison in the USA, has a lot of problems; his prison statistically has the highest number of prison riots, medical costs and staff turnover in the country. But foremost he is unable to get the respect he thinks he deserves from his inmates and the state Governor (Eric Roberts). He constantly fails in experimenting with different ideas for the ideal punishment to get the inmates in line, which drives him, together with the sizzling heat, completely insane. Under threats of termination by the Governor, his loyal right hand man Dwight (Laurence R. Harvey) comes up with a brilliant idea. A revolutionary idea which could change the American prison system for good and save billions of dollars. An idea based on the notorious Human Centipede movies, that will literally and figuratively get the inmates on their knees, creating the ultimate punishment and deterrent for anyone considering a life of crime. Having nothing to lose, Bill and Dwight create a jaw-dropping 500-person prison centipede.
Six Entertainment has unleashed the poster for the upcoming Human Centipede 3. The highly anticipated (by some) final (maybe) installment to the shock horror franchise. The film hits the big screen and VOD in the US May 22nd. While final grosses for the weekend aren't in yet we can officially say that Furious 7 is now the 5th highest grossing movie worldwide. Also only the third movie to make over a billion dollars when not including domestic gross. The only other two movies that have made a billion dollars are Titanic(1.5 billion) and Avatar (approx 2 billion). When domestic gross is taken into account it comes in 5 behind Avatar, Titanic, The Avengers, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It will likely pass Harry Potter and finish in 4th place. Although is has grossed more internationally and doing very well in the US Furious 7 will not make up the difference that The Avengers made domestically. While everyone expected Furious 7 to do well no one expected it to do this well. The death of Paul Walker definitely made it a must see in the US but did it have the same effect in China where in 19 days it is the highest grossing movie ever? A lot of people think it is the multi-ethnic cast that has cross cultural appeal. That might have something to do with it also but none of the other Fast and Furious movies have done this well. It honestly just baffles me how it blew up like it has. With The Avengers: Age of Ultron beginning to come out in international markets and being released in the US next week we will probably be having this same conversation in a month. The Avengers appeal to the same wide audience and is expected to break all kinds of records. How many records will it break we will see. Can it become the fourth movie to make over a billion dollars internationally? Probably but will it be able to pass Avatar and Titanic probably not. Although the first movie came very close to beating Titanic at the domestic box office. Tell us what you think. Why is Furious 7 so popular? Below is the current rankings in the international box office from Box Office Mojo Rank Movie International gross Domestic gross
1. Avatar $2.02 Billion $760.5 Million 2. Titanic $1.52 Billion $658.7 Million 3. Furious 7 $1.27 Billion $320 Million 4. Harry Potter $960 Million $381 Million and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 5. The Avengers $895.2 Million $623.4 Million Michael Bay posted on his website today 3 new images from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel. The are apparently new rides for the 4 heroes. Joining the turtles this time around is Stephen Amell as Casey Jones and Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman. Rumor also has it that Bebop and Rocksteady will be making an appearance in the movie. Let us know what you think. The movie will be arriving June 3rd 2016. More news coming out of Cinemacon. Vin Diesel showed up today and announced to the crowd that Fast and Furious 8 will be arriving in theaters April 14th 2017. While the news isn't terribly shocking since Fast and Furious 7 is currently 7th highest grossing movie of all time it will be interesting to see where they go without Paul Walker. Rumored title is F8 (Fate, get it) no news if that will be the official title. Are you excited for more Fast and Furious movies? Yesterday at Cinemacon Sony announced another Spider-Man movie. The difference is it will be animated. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (the guys behind Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jumpstreet, and The Lego Movie) are set to write and produce the movie. No word yet if they will direct. The movie will be a stand alone film and not associated with the live action Spider-Man that is being introduced in a Marvel movie and will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The animated film is scheduled to be released July 20th 2018 which is almost an exact year after the live action version due July 18, 2017. That's two different Spider-Man movies in the span of 1 year plus whatever other Marvel movies he shows up in. Is that too much Spider-Man? The official Press Release is below. Netflix has released the movies that are coming and going for the month of May. Looks like we are losing more good movies than we are getting. Two new ones that have us excited are Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and the cheesy looking horror movie Zombeavers. Two very different movies but both entertaining in their own way. Check below for the full list of comings and goings. The other day we got our first look of Johnny Depp in familiar Jack Sparrow garb in Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Now we get to see a different side of Depp and one that we hope brings him back to more serious and interesting roles. The first image has been released from Depp's new movie Black Mass where he plays notorious Boston Gangster Whitey Bulger. The folks at CinemaCon in Vegas seemed to be very impressed with what they saw of the movie and it could lead to some Oscar nominations. Who is excited to see if Depp can get back into some serious acting.? Let us know your thoughts. Marvel has been putting up a lot of billboards for Ant-Man lately. Thing is, they are mini-micro sized billboards. Fantastic fun marketing from the mouse house and Marvel. So far, the billboards have only been seen in Australia. The Ant-Man billboards are reportedly insanely detailed and even have battery-powered LED lights to be seen nighttime. Hasbro recently held their quarterly earnings meeting and commented that Paramount was at work on the next installment for the robots in disguise. “Our plan right now with the studio and filmmakers, you may have read something about some writers being hired,” Brian Goldner President and CEO of Hasbro says. “We have in fact brought in [Akiva Goldsman[ to lead a group of writers to really create a strategic plan around Transformers – we think there’s any number of stories to be told. It’s a brand that’s been around for 30 years with amazing canon and mythology. We would expect the sequel to the Transformers movie to happen in 2017" The past 3 days Colin Trevorrow director of the upcoming Jurassic World has posted a new poster each day. With a tease that a trailer will be coming on Monday. Check out the cool looking posters. Jurassic World is set to hit theaters on June 12th. What do you think of the posters and are you looking forward to the movie? Let us know. Check out the full sized posters below. |
