2016 SAG Nominations

​Looking for help to predict the Oscars?  Well, the SAG nominations don’t help at all.  We have surprise nominations for Trumbo, Straight Outta Compton, and Beasts of No Nation.  Favorites The Martian and Creed were shut out. Trumbo which hasn’t got much (if any) love so far during the award season scored the most nominations with 3.  The other movie missing is The Hateful Eight but that is likely due to the fact no screeners were sent out to the guild.  Quentin Tarantino insisted that voters see it in 70mm and refused to send out screeners so it’s likely that not many people saw it. And a nomination for Sarah Silverman? That came out of nowhere.
