Over last weekend there a number of critic societies that announced their winners.
The biggest one was the LA Film Critics Association. There was also was the New York Film Critics Online, the DC Area Critic Association, and The Boston Society of Film Critics. The Online Film Critics Association announced their nominations but no winners.
To sum it up Spotlight got the biggest boost and won Best Picture in all four of the local critic awards. Mad Max continues to do strongly and was runner up in a few and well represented in the technical awards. Best Actor was kind of all over the place.
