Max Landis son of legendary writer/director John Landis is starting to come to fame on his own. He first screenplay was for Josh Trank's Chronicle. After Trank got tapped to direct The Fantastic Four Max Landis appears to have written a version of the movie apparently hoping to reteam with the director. While that didn't ultimately turn out today he tweeted out the first four pages of his screenplay.
While you get a taste for the movie it doesn't really tell us much about it and there is no way to tell if it would have been any better or worse than the movie that was ultimately released. The opening scene of Landis' version had the team in a barn about to take off in a spaceship made out of a 1968 Corvair Ultra Van. There is some banter between the team so you get an idea of their personalities but we never see them.
Below are the pages. Let us know what you think.
