New Line is putting this sequel on the fast track, pulling it from it's comfortable October release to the prime time. It will now be getting a prime July release. Going head to head with Mission Impossible : Rogue Nation, New Line must have a LOT of faith in this. In the film, Rusty, all grown up and played by Ed Helms, decides to take his family to, were else? Wally World. No doubt also recreating many of the goofs his dad made so many years ago. Word is, Chevy Chase (Clark Griswald) and Beverly D' Angelo (Ellen Griswald)) only have small roles in the film. Just a stop along the way for Russ and crew. Sister, Audrey is along for the ride too, played by Leslie Mann. Along with Russ is, wife Debbie (Christina Applegate) and sons Skylar Gisando (Night at the Museum 3) and, Kevin, played by newcomer Steele Stebbins. Along the way, keep an eye out for a ton of celebrity cameos like, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie Day among others. Maybe Cousin Eddie will even pop up to ramble on for 10 minutes about nothing at all. Keep in mind, this is very much a sequel, not a reboot.
